Your care work counts. Now it gets rewarded.

Working while caring for children or relatives?

Care-Coin makes unpaid care work visible and develops ways to recognise it: at work, in society and in the economy.

You do so much every day. Hardly anyone sees it.

Daycare pick-ups, doctor's appointments for your parents, short nights, a head full of to-dos, and your job in between. Care work takes time and energy, yet it doesn't show up on any CV or payslip. And it holds exactly what everyone is looking for: organisational skills, responsibility, resilience and empathy.

You're not alone in this.

A place where care work counts.

Project Care-Coin is an art and research project at the intersection of unpaid care work and the digital economy. It brings together parents, family carers, employers and experts. Together we ask:

  • How can care work be expressed as value?
  • What stories do we tell about care, time and overload?
  • How can technology help without creating new burdens?

This is where things happen.

  • We talk to people who care for relatives and raise children, to founders and employers.
  • We publish content on how technology can recognise care work.
  • We're building an app that lets you track care work, make it visible and value it.

People like you.

Care-Coin is run by mothers and people who care, who know care work from their own experience. The project was founded by Hanna Koch. With a background in art, she combines creative marketing, research, her own experience of care work and technology. She is supported by a team and by advisors in blockchain, digital literacy and care policy.

This is where you find real help.

Many of your employees and customers do care work, often unseen. As a partner, sponsor or employer, you can support them visibly and show what your company stands for.
