1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Hanna Koch
c/o Impressumservice Dein-Impressum
Stettiner Str. 41
35410 Hungen
Germany
Email: contact@project-care-coin.org

2. General

We process personal data only in accordance with the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). You don't have to give us any data. However, you can't sign up for our updates without an email address. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages). When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page visited, browser and operating system, and the referrer URL. Cloudflare stores these log files only briefly to ensure the operation and security of the website.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a stable and secure website. We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Cloudflare operates a global server network, so data may also be processed in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

4. Email updates (Brevo)

When you sign up for our updates, we process your email address, the language in which you signed up (German or English), the time of your sign-up and the time of your confirmation. We use the language so that we can write to you in your language. We use the double opt-in procedure: you receive an email and confirm your sign-up in it. We send you news about ProjectCare-Coin, such as the launch of our Kickstarter campaign and the app.

We use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 55 rue d'Amsterdam, 75008 Paris, France) to send emails. Brevo stores the data on servers in the EU. Our website passes your email address directly to Brevo and does not store it itself.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by sending us a short message. We store your data until you unsubscribe. After that, your email address remains only on a blocklist to make sure we don't write to you again. We have a data processing agreement with Brevo. More at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.

5. Audience measurement (Plausible Analytics)

To understand how our site is used, we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Tartu, Estonia). Plausible doesn't set cookies or store IP addresses. Only aggregated data is collected: pages visited, the referring website, browser, operating system, device type and country. We also count how often the Kickstarter button is clicked and the sign-up form for updates is submitted. This does not allow individual visitors to be identified. The data is stored on servers in Germany.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to understand the impact of our site and to improve it. More at plausible.io/data-policy.

6. Links to Kickstarter

Our site links to our campaign on Kickstarter. No data is transferred to Kickstarter when our site loads. Only when you follow a link does Kickstarter's privacy policy apply.

7. Contact by email

If you send us an email, for example via the partner page, we process your address and the content of your message in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it concerns a collaboration, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete the message once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Cookies and fonts

This website does not set any cookies. We load fonts from our own server, not from third parties.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can also withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). Just write to us at contact@project-care-coin.org.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Postfach 20 04 44, 40102 Düsseldorf, Germany, poststelle@ldi.nrw.de.
